Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
This page describes what cookies and similar browser storage helperg.com actually uses today, why each one exists, and how you can change your mind at any point. It covers the public marketing site only. Each HELPERG product you sign into (for example, Cash Workspace) has its own consent surface inside the product.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and send back the next time you visit. Browsers also offer related storage like localStorage, which works similarly but stays on your device until something explicitly clears it. We use both, and we treat them the same way for the purposes of this policy.
How our consent system works
The consent banner and preferences modal you see on this site are written and operated in-house by HELPERG LLC. We do not use CookieYes, OneTrust, Cookiebot, or any other third-party consent management platform.
Under the hood we implement Google Consent Mode v2. All four consent signals — analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization — default to denied on every page load, before any tag has a chance to fire. Nothing analytics-related runs until you grant consent.
If you have visited before, your previous choice is read back from localStorage synchronously, in the page head, before the first page-view event is sent. That means returning visitors who accepted analytics get measured from the very first page, and returning visitors who declined never trigger an analytics request at all.
You can change your mind whenever you want. The Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page reopens the preferences panel and lets you grant or revoke analytics consent.
Cookies and similar storage actually used on helperg.com
This is the complete list. If something is not in this table, helperg.com is not setting it.
| Name / storage | Type | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cookieConsent (localStorage) |
Necessary | Functional | Stores your consent choice and the schema version, so we do not have to ask again on every page. | ~13 months |
_ga, _ga_<container_id> |
Analytics | Analytics | Google Analytics 4 — distinguishes visitors and sessions. Only set if you grant analytics consent. | Up to 2 years |
| Google Consent Mode signals | Necessary (set by gtag.js) | Functional | Communicates your consent state to Google tags so they know what they may and may not do. | Session / per-request |
What changed: earlier versions of this page listed an additional Google Analytics cookie that GA4 no longer uses, a set of Google Ads conversion cookies, and a CookieYes consent cookie. None of those are set on this site — we do not run Google Ads, and the consent UI is in-house rather than CookieYes. The table above is the current, accurate picture.
Categories
Strictly necessary
Cannot be turned off. These are the items required for the site to work at a basic level: the local record of your consent choice, and the consent signals our pages send to Google's tag library so it knows what is allowed to fire.
Analytics
Opt-in. Currently this means Google Analytics 4 only. Nothing else is in this category today. If you decline, the GA4 tag is not loaded and no analytics data about your visit is collected.
Marketing — currently inactive
The consent preferences panel exposes a Marketing toggle so the system is ready if we ever add advertising or remarketing tags. Right now no marketing tags are loaded on helperg.com. If that changes in the future — for example, if we wire up the loadMarketing() helper in cookie-consent.js to inject an advertising pixel — those tags will fire only after you grant marketing consent, and this page will be updated to list each new tag before the change ships.
Third-party cookies
The only third-party tag currently running on helperg.com is Google Analytics 4, and only if you grant analytics consent. When it runs, it sets its own cookies under Google's terms.
- Google's Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on — blocks GA across every site that uses it, not just ours.
Managing your choices
- The banner on your first visit. Choose Accept all, Reject all, or Customize to pick categories individually.
- The "Cookie settings" button in the footer of every page. Reopens the preferences panel any time, including after you have already chosen.
- Your browser settings. Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies entirely. This works site-wide, not just for ours.
- The Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above, if you want to block GA across the whole web.
Ecosystem products
HELPERG LLC operates other products outside this marketing site, including Cash Workspace. Each ecosystem product runs its own cookie and consent surface for the people who have accounts there, and each one publishes its own policy. This Cookie Policy describes helperg.com itself — the public site you are reading right now.
Changes to this policy
When we change what we load or how the consent system works, we update this page and bump the Last updated date at the top. For substantive changes — new tags, new categories actually being used — we update the page before the change ships.
