Global City Intelligence adds 11,220 nature routes to its place corpus
An August 2026 expansion extended the platform's coverage into parks, trails and outdoor destinations. The figures below are the state the project reported on that date.
Global City Intelligence published an expansion of its place corpus on 20 August 2026, extending coverage into nature and weekend destinations.
What the project reported
In its own words, the expansion “added 11,220 nature routes, drawn from a corpus of 53,082 curated places, and brought the platform to 84,833 indexed URLs across 4,442 cities.”
Those four figures are a snapshot taken on 20 August 2026, not a running total. They describe the platform as it stood on the day the project published them. A corpus that is actively being extended will not match them later, and HELPERG does not restate them as a current measurement.
Why it matters
Global City Intelligence builds structured place data rather than editorial travel content, so growth is measured in entities and routes rather than articles. An expansion into nature destinations widens the kinds of question the corpus can answer without changing what it is.
